Yahukimo Police Chief Ensures Residents’ Safety in the Midst of Crime Case Investigations
Jayapura – Yahukimo Police Chief, AKBP Heru Hidayanto, S.Sos., M.M., led a joint patrol and crime scene investigation and recorded a case of murder and arson of a truck on the road to Kampung Masi, Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency, on Saturday (3/8 /24).
This activity was attended by the Head of Ops for the Yahukimo Police, AKP Nur Wahyu, S.Sos., M.M., Danton Brimob Yon D BKO Yahukimo Police, AKP Jumari, KBO Criminal Investigation Officer Ronald Edward and his members, the Nanggala Action Task Force, the ODC 2024 Gakkum Task Force, as well as personnel joint TNI-Polri.
This joint patrol and crime scene processing and search aims to monitor the case of murder and truck burning which occurred on Wednesday, July 31 2024.
Yahukimo Police Chief, AKBP Heru Hidayanto, stated that around 100 joint personnel carried out searches and searches in several huts which were suspected of being used as hiding places for the perpetrators.
“Today, with a force of around 100 joint personnel, we carried out searches and conducted searches in several places suspected of being used as hiding places. “From the search, we found several sharp tools and also homemade weapons which were suspected to have been used by the group,” said Yahukimo Police Chief.
Yahukimo Police Chief emphasized that TNI-Polri officers would continue to carry out permits against this group.
“We from the TNI-Polri apparatus will continue to provide cooling to this group. “We will not remain silent, and I guarantee that we will arrest these groups,” he stressed.
The Yahukimo Police Chief also appealed to the people of Yahukimo Regency to remain calm and always be alert.
“Trust us, TNI-Polri officers, we will always maintain security and peace in Yahukimo Regency,” concluded the Police Chief.
