Call of Two Youth Leaders in Papua and West Papua Invites People to Unite in the Red and White March

Papua- These two young people in the Land of Papua symbolize their call within the framework of the Republic of Indonesia. This is proof of his love for maintaining security and social order ahead of the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.

In various media, there are many hot issues or topics that are being feared will cause chaos before August 17. For this reason, Youth in Papua have taken a stand in supporting Community Security and Order so that it remains conducive and welcomes Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.

One of the Youth Leaders in Papua Province, Jayapura City, Pau Ohee, firmly rejects the action plan of the West Papua National Committee (KNPB) to commemorate August as the month of racism and the history of the New York Agreement.

Paul Ohee firmly rejects the KNPB action plan which is considered not in line with the spirit of development in Papua.

“We ask the security forces to take firm action against KNPB actions if they carry out actions in Jayapura City,” he said. According to him, Papua in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) is final and no longer needs to be debated.

“Currently, our task is to develop this country, prepare human resources (HR) in the fields of education, health, economy and infrastructure, socio-culture to develop this country,” he said.

Apart from that, there are also youth figures from West Papua, Kab. Fak-fak, who is the Secretary of the PPM Fakfak Regency, West Papua, Moh Ali Sagara, expressed support for the movement of the red and white ranks.

He said, “Ahead of the Republic of Indonesia’s 79th anniversary on August 17 2024, namely tomorrow, Thursday, August 15, we PPM Fakfak Regency will hold a red and white celebration on the main street of Pala Fakfak City,” he explained.

He asked the entire community to unite and work together to create safe and conducive social security and social order and welcome Indonesian Independence Day with full joy.
