KKB Perintakola Lokbere alias Malas Lokbere alias Malas Gwijangge KKB Perek leader Clearly Kogoya is suspected of being the perpetrator of the murder of Pilot Glen in Alama District

On Monday, August 5 2024, precisely in Alama District, Mimika Regency, Central Papua, there was a brutal act carried out by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB). They took hostages and shot dead the PT helicopter pilot. Intan Angkasa Air Service, Mr. Glen Malcolm Conning, a New Zealander. Not only that, KKB also tried to burn the IWN type helicopter, MD.500 ER PK, which resulted in total damage to the helicopter.

Responding to the KKB’s brutal actions, the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops task force was dispatched to the Alama District and carried out crime scene investigations for 2 days, namely, Tuesday 6 August and Wednesday 7 August 2024.

Not only was the crime scene investigation carried out, the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Task Force also pursued the KKB who killed pilot Glen and searched the Alama District with the result of finding an empty house at the end of the airport.

It is suspected that this empty house was used by KKB Perintakola Lokbere alias Malas Lokbere alias Malas Gwijangge to live in the Alama District for the last 1 week. Please note that based on information from the local community, the empty house is a former cooperative which is no longer used.

This was confirmed by the fact that pictures of weapons, an image of the independent Papuan flag and other KKB documents were found on the walls of the house.

Based on the results of the crime scene investigation, the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Task Force strongly suspects that the hostage taking and shooting which resulted in pilot Glen’s death was KKB Perek Gajah Kogoya.

Head of Peace Operations Cartenz -2024, Brigadier General Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, revealed that from the results of the investigation of the crime scene and examination of witnesses, it was strongly suspected that the perpetrator of the hostage situation and murder of pilot Glen was KKB Perek Gajah Kogoya.

KKB Perek Clearly Kogoya is headquartered in Yuguru, Nduga Regency and is suspected of having 5 KKB people in this group as the Killer of Pilot Glen, namely,

  1. Perintakola Lokbere alias Malas Gwijangge, (20 years old) with address in Geselma village, Kab. Nduga,
  2. Jeri Wandikbo, (50 years old) whose address is in Geselma village, Kab. Nduga,
  3. Irisim Gwijangge, (20 years old) with address in Geselma village, Kab. Nduga,
  4. Jaka Gwijangge, (15 years old) whose address is in Geselma village, Kab. Nduga, and
  5. Analuk Amisim, (36 years old) with address in Geselma village, Kab. Nduga.

“Based on the results of the crime scene investigation and examination of witnesses in the Alama District, we have obtained the identity of KKB. It is suspected that the perpetrator of the murder of Pilot Glen is KKB Perek Clearly Kogoya and has 5 KKB people in the group, namely Perintakola Lokbere alias Malas Lokbere alias Malas Gwijangge and friends- his friend,” explained Kaops.

Head of Public Relations Task Force Head of Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Public Relations Task Force, Police Commissioner. Dr. Bayu Suseno, in his statement, said that the crime scene investigation, collection of evidence and evidence as well as examination of witnesses had been completed.

“Yes, that’s right, we have finished investigating the crime scene, collecting evidence and evidence, as well as examining all witnesses.” Said Police Commissioner. Dr. Bayu Suseno.

Dr. Bayu Suseno continued, Based on the results of the investigation, we know the identities of the perpetrators, namely, Perintakola Lokbere alias Malas Lokbere alias Malas Gwijangge, Jeri Wandikbo, Irisim Gwijangge, Jaka Gwijangge and Analuk Amisim. “This KKB consists of 5 people and it is suspected that they come from the KKB led by Perek Surga Kogoya which is headquartered in Yuguru, Nduga Regency.”

“We have issued a DPO (People Wanted List) for the suspected perpetrator and then we will carry out investigation and law enforcement efforts,” explained Bayu.

Head of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Public Relations Task Force, added that the alleged perpetrator of the hostage taking and murder of Pilot Glen was subject to the application of Article 338 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) to 1, subsidiary to Article 365 Paragraph (3), subsidiary to Article 170 of the Criminal Code Paragraph (2) to 3, subsidiary to Article 170 of the Criminal Code Paragraph (2) to 3, subsidiary to Article 351 Paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code, namely, Crimes against people’s lives and participating in committing punishable acts and/or theft and/or crimes against public order and/or Persecution, with the threat of punishment in accordance with Article 365 Paragraph (3), a maximum sentence of 12 years, Article 170 Paragraph (2) 3rd, a maximum sentence of 12 years and Article 351 Paragraph (3), a maximum sentence of 7 years.
