Dogiyai Police Secures Last Day for Regional Head Candidate Registration

The Dogiyai Police Department (Polres) was alerted to secure the last day of registration for candidates for regional head of Dogiyai Regency. The security alert call took place at the Dogiyai Police rally field on Thursday morning and was led directly by the Deputy Chief of Dogiyai Police, AKP Muhammad Tahir.

In his direction, AKP Muhammad Tahir emphasized the importance of anticipating potential vulnerabilities that might occur during the registration process. “All forms of vulnerability must be anticipated as quickly as possible with good cooperation between officers in the field, while still paying attention to the leadership’s directions,” said AKP Muhammad Tahir.

To secure the last registration day, Dogiyai Police deployed 75 personnel. Muhammad Tahir identified the main point of vulnerability as when pairs of regional head candidates register simultaneously, which has the potential to create a mass of supporters.

“Learning from security measures in previous days, the vulnerable point is only when pairs of candidates register simultaneously. “Based on information, there are four candidates who will register today,” explained AKP Muhammad Tahir.

He also confirmed that today, four pairs of candidates have confirmed to register, after two pairs registered previously. So, it is estimated that there will be six pairs of candidates who will compete in the 2024 regional elections in Dogiyai Regency.

Since the first day of registration, the situation has remained safe and comfortable. “Thank God, from the first day registration went smoothly. “Hopefully this last day will also remain safe,” concluded AKP Muhammad Tahir.

With tight security and cooperation between authorities, it is hoped that the registration process will run smoothly until the end.
