2024 Regional Election in Papua, John Morin Invites All Parties to Maintain Democracy Towards a Golden Indonesia

Papua- Young Papuan intellectual John Gerki Morin invites all parties to maintain democracy by holding regional head elections (Pilkada) on November 27 2024.

“Maintaining democracy is our shared responsibility,” said John Morin Young Papuan Intellectual John Gerki Morin invited all parties to maintain democracy ahead of the regional head elections (Pilkada) on November 27 2024.
“Preserving democracy is our shared responsibility,” said John Morin.

He said that the community’s contribution to making the democratic party a success was maintaining the security situation and protecting citizens.

“Once again, the success of elections is not only the responsibility of the organizers, but also the community,” he said.
John also appealed to the public not to be easily provoked by rumors or hoax news.

“Remember that politics only happens once every five years, but friendship and kinship are lasting,” he said.

Not only the community, continued John, regional head candidates (Bcakada), especially in Papua, must be able to provide good political education to their supporters and sympathizers.

“This regional election contest is an opportunity to offer a vision and mission and work program to the community, not to attack individuals,” he said.

“Therefore, John advised the Papuan people to elect regional head candidates (Cakada) based on their vision and mission, work programs, not because of class, religion and race,” he continued.

John added, by choosing leaders who have integrity and quality, it is not impossible that the golden generation of Papua and Indonesia can be realized.
