To make the 2024 regional elections a success, KPU and Intan Jaya Police Collaborate

Papua- The Intan Jaya General Election Commission (KPU) has taken strategic steps in accordance with the instructions of the Indonesian KPU and Central Papua Province KPU, to ensure the successful implementation of the Pilkada on 27 November 2024.

The efforts made include establishing cooperation or a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Intan Jaya Police.

Chairman of the Intan Jaya KPU, Nolianus Kobogau, said that the MoU was a follow-up to the collaboration between the Central Papua KPU and the Papua Regional Police regarding the synergy in implementing tasks and functions in holding the 2024 simultaneous elections.

“For this reason, we also comply and carry it out on August 7 2024, at the Horison Diana Hotel, Mimika,” said Nolianus.

Through this collaboration, Nolianus hopes that all stages of the 2024 Regional Election can run smoothly.

Apart from that, Nolianus also did not forget to invite all parties, namely, religious leaders, youth, intellectuals and local governments, to actively participate in maintaining Security and Order.

“Let’s make the 2024 regional elections successful in Intan Jaya smoothly, safely and peacefully,” he concluded.
