Yorison: Successful Elections Depend on the Role of the Community. Let’s Make the Regional Election a Success

Jayapura- Puncak Jaya Regency’s Easy Figure, Yorison Telenggen invites all parties to make the 2024 regional elections a success which will be held in a few months.

“Whether or not the regional elections are successful is up to the community, so let’s maintain security and remind them that regional elections can be held which can produce leaders who can develop,” he said.

He added that peace is not only the task of security forces, but a shared responsibility as citizens.

Apart from that, he also asked every citizen to respect differences.

“Every citizen has the right to make their choice, and we as citizens must respect it, without having to interfere and so on,” said Yorison.

Apart from that, Yorison hopes that all people in Papua will not be easily provoked by untrue issues.

“Be wise in using social media,” he hoped.

To the Security Forces, Yorison fully supports the efforts of the TNI-Polri to maintain security stability. “If there are individuals or groups who want to thwart the Pilkada, proceed directly to the process according to legal provisions,” he explained.

Individuals acting in the name of Papua who want to thwart the regional elections must be given deterrence. “We Papuan children want change for the sake of a developed Papua,” concluded Yorison.
